Joram Berwald, known as BERWALD, is a Rotterdam-based DJ and producer with a distinctive sound.
Starting with drums and bass guitar at a young age, his passion for music production quickly took shape. At sixteen, BERWALD dove into house music with a clear vision: ‘Anything can be house music as long as the ‘four on the floor’ rhythm remains at its core’.
By blending various musical cultures and timeless instruments, he crafts a sound that is vibrant, warm, and full of energy. His debut single ‘Eso’ is a perfect example featuring guitar solos, intricate percussion and Cuban influences, creating a world where music knows no boundaries. These themes are a constant in his work, sometimes infused with hints of hip-hop or smooth R&B vocals.
